You are cordially invited to the first annual Sam Farr
Pinnacles Service Award Dinner & Auction.
Please join us as we honor former Congressman Sam Farr for his dedication to the stewardship of Pinnacles through his efforts to elevate the park from a National Monument to a National Park. Meet with park staff and enjoy music, wine, and a farm-to-fork dinner from executive chef Mike Fisher. A paddle raiser and an auction of wonderful items and experiences will raise critical funds to support programs and projects that create lasting benefits to Pinnacles National Park.
The Pinnacles National Park Foundation (formerly Pinnacles Partnership) is the official nonprofit partner of Pinnacles National Park. Programs and projects funded by Pinnacles National Park Foundation serve more than 200,000 park visitors annually, including more than 600 students who participate in park curriculum-based educational programs.
Now is the time to get your tickets to the first annual Sam Farr Pinnacles Service Award Dinner & Auction, an event to recognize philanthropy and service in the stewardship of Pinnacles National Park. The first recipient to be honored at the event is former Congressman Sam Farr. Sam’s efforts to elevate Pinnacles to a National Park is a crowning achievement in the park’s history, finally attaining the status that the first local stewards set out to claim at the turn of the century.
Jonathan B. Jarvis, retired former Director of the National Park Service, will be our keynote speaker. Jarvis managed the National Park Service through its centennial in 2016, focusing on several key areas that are critical for the future: enhancing stewardship of the places entrusted to the Service’s care; maximizing the educational potential of parks and programs; engaging new generations and audiences, and ensuring the welfare and fulfillment of National Park Service employees.
This event aims to raise crucial funds that allow the Pinnacles National Park Foundation to support the programs and projects prioritized by Pinnacles National Park. You will have the opportunity to visit with park rangers and staff while you bid on exciting park experiences, outdoor gear, wine packages, goods and services, and trips and travels. A paddle raiser will fund the needs of the Pinnacles Condor program. With your help, we can monitor all free-flying condors with GPS tracking devices.
Please show your love for Pinnacles National Park by joining us in support and attending our inaugural event, we would love to meet you there.
